Maggie's Centre, nottingham
The RIBA award winning Maggie’s Centre in Nottingham is a cancer care centre to serve the East Midlands Cancer Network, designed by CZWG Architects with fashion designer, Sir Paul Smith.
The Double Unit worked together with Maggie’s, CZWG and Sir Paul Smith throughout the duration of this project to ensure that it received the high praise and media attention it deserved.
We guided the production of a beautiful film to show case the project which formed part of the press pack for the opening. The film was a collaboration from director, Richard Mullane, and architectural photographer and videographer, Tim Crocker.
Amongst the extensive press coverage of the opening, Jonathan Glancey (The Guardian) wrote: “From a purely architectural and design point of view, few hospital buildings – this side of the other eight Maggie's Centres built in Britain since the 1990s – are as welcoming.”
